Subject: Thousands of Montana snow geese die after landing in toxic acidic mine pit

Don’t know if you saw this tragedy. If you see any update, let me know.
I read many of the posts once I got this and sounds like many of the birds
flew out of the pit, however, the water is so caustic they could most likely be dying in other places.

Butte residents have found dead birds in a Walmart parking lot, on
roadsides and outside the city.

Sandy Carr, owner of the Davidsonville Animal Sanctuary and longtime member of MWRA, passed away Thursday night, November 3rd, at the age of 74. Sandy had been dealing with health issues for some time. There will be a memorial visitation on Wednesday November 9th 4pm to 7pm at the George Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater Maryland (just south of Annapolis).

From Lee Prouty: I have received a box of knitted nests along with 2 page sheet about their use. Would you be so kind as to spread the word. If you are interested in trying these, please let me know. If they work out, I could see if I could get you more &/or the instructions should you have
women in your area that would like to knit them. Several nest were mailed to me by the wonderful ladies of Wildcare Baby Bird Nest Campaign. These nests were sent to them from literally all over the globe.
